When I was digging post holes with my auger last summer, the thing that made
the biggest difference was keeping the bits sharp. I had to go through very hard
dry clay. When the bits got dull I would hardly make any progress. However, when I took my angle grinder and resharpened the bits, I had no problems going through clay.

Since buying a compact tractor (Cub Cadet 7305), I have found jplan.com to be invaluable.<br>However, this new javascript popup window is annoying in the extreme. <br>When I read posts using Netscape, I use the open in new window to be able to download several posts simultaneously to avoid waiting. The javascript popup window is breaking this.<br>Is this bothering anyone else?<br>I would like this feature go away and fast.<br>

I just bought a new 7305 with a front end loader for about 17400. So the price seems a little high in comparison. That is the price here in Oklahoma.
I only have about 25 hours on it so far, but it has worked very well so far.

Oops. I forgot to set the section before I posted. Hopefully the board owner could properly set the category to Tractor Use.

It might be nice to add a new category Tractor Saftey to address general safety questions.

I know an MF180 is not quite a compact tractor, but someone may have experience with this.My dad has a MF180 that has a Gread Bend loader on it. The loader can barely lift anything. He wants to start by replacing the hydraulic filter. Unfortunately the service manual he has does not go into great detail about replacing the filter. It looks like he needs to remove a cover under the seat. However he is concerned about needing the separate the transmission from the engine. Surely that would not be necessary to replace the filter.<br>Has anyone else had any experience on replacing the filter on this tractor or a similar model.Thanks.<br>
